Sundeep 3 Times Bigger Than Saaho!

He was just an unknown Telugu director to Bollywood. His film was made with a shoestring budget of just Rs.50 crores. But then, he created a huge sensation at the Bollywood box office with his phenomenal hit Kabir Singh. 

And the director is none other than Sundeep Reddy we are talking about. As we all know, Sundeep Reddy has remade his Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy in Hindi. Shahid Kapoor has done protagonist. The film minted Rs.279 crores collections in India and a total of Rs.350 crores collections including Overseas. In spite of huge criticism from Bollywood critics on its content, the film exhibited brilliant performance at the box office. 

Having gone through the huge hype surrounded by Saaho before its release, it was thought that the film would easily cross Kabir Singh's lifetime collections in Bollywood. 

But then, in spite of being made with Rs.350 crores budget and was projected as India's costliest film, Saaho was satisfied with Rs.100+ crores gross collections so far. The film may add another Rs.30 crores or Rs.40 crores collections in its lifetime. However, comparatively, the film stands no way on par with Kabir Singh's success range. As a result, our Telugu director showed his upper hand on Saaho with his shoestring budgeted film.
