Janasena chief had to face a humiliating defeat in the general elections held in the month of April. Pawan Kalyan, himself, lost the poll battle in both the constituencies he had contested while the party won just one MLA seat. 

Post the defeat of Pawan Kalyan, political analysts predicted that Pawan Kalyan would lose his charisma and would be forgotten by people, especially other politicians. * Sympathy factor post his defeat has greatly been worked out and Pawan Kalyan is being treated the saviour by the people who haven't cast their votes for him.
