Young hero Sharwanand's Ranarangam is releasing on August 15th in a grand manner amidst huge expectations. Sharwanand is playing the role of a gangster Deva while Kajal Agarwal will be seen as Geetha and Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing another important role.
Earlier rumors spread that Ranarangam was first narrated to Raviteja and even he showed interest but Sharwanand spoke to him and convinced him to sacrifice the project to him.
Now another interesting titbit is the makers planned to name the film as Dalapathi. Director Sudheer Varma said they tried to get the title rights Dalapathi for the film but despite their intense efforts they couldn't and at that time producer Naga Vamsi suggested Ranarangam which appealed to everyone.
He revealed that since the film has a period backdrop, they worked hard to recreate that atmosphere. They created a set at Aluminum factory, Hyderabad and also ensured that while they shot at outdoors like in Kakinada, vehicles etc do not appear in the backdrop.
