There were few who came with exam fees in their hands and waited for hours in front of my office. Some even wrote letters threatening to commit suicide if I do not give them offers. So I used to complain at the police station. I used to scold few of them and send them away."

Teja continued saying, “To prevent those from neglecting studies and coming to me, I spread a rumor that I will hit in the sets. I thought that with such kind of rumor, youngsters do not come to me scared of getting slapped. This gave the desired result to some extent."

Teja added, "However in one instance, I slapped a heroine. During one scene heroine Anitha Hassanandani was supposed to cry. Generally, for such a scene, we prepare the heroine one day ahead. However, I planned a shot unexpectedly. Despite my repeated requests, heroine told that she is not getting tears. So I told her, 'If you do not do the scene, I will slap you' and really slapped her. At once heroine cried and the scene was shot. Those who saw that in the sets spread rumors that I hit actors in the sets. I felt at least in such way, youngsters stop coming neglecting studies."
