Many are left wondering why stars prefer Flop Directors. Few directors get good image with their talent and stars prefer to travel and team up with them, though their track record in the recent past is not that impressive.
Many expected that no one would show interest in teaming up with Boyapati Srinu after the shocks he received in form of Ram Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Jaya Janaki Rama. Many felt that even Balakrishna wouldn't prefer him though he presented him two hits like Legend and Simhaa. But, Balakrishna decided to go ahead with him, despite the flop of Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
Bobby who got a decent hit with Raviteja's Power, however got huge shocks in form of Pawan Kalyan's Sardar Gabbar Singh and NTR's Jai Lava Kusa. Much to the surprise of all he emerged successful in flooring Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya for a multi starrer Venky Mama. Many are wondering how Venkatesh who is on a high with F2 preferred a project with Bobby.
Puri Jagannath who presented many blockbusters to top stars, of late has been reeling under string of flops. Even his film Mehbooba with his son Akash turned out to be a disaster. Even then many stars are showing interest in teaming with him at least once. Ram is finally realizing his dream of teaming up with Puri with iSmart Shankar and already announced a sequel for it even before its release. What is surprising all is even Mahesh Babu fans are pressurizing him to team up with Puri Jagannath to recreate the magic of Pokiri and Businessman. Mahesh’s 25th film Maharshi director Vamsi Paidipally’s last movie Oopiri was also a commercial flop.
Hairsh Shankar after the blockbuster Gabbar Singh with Pawan Kalyan has been reeling under flops. He is now remaking Tamil hit Jigarthanda and what is surprising all is Varun Tej who is on a high with the success of F2, Tholi Prema and Fidaa is teaming up with him. The film is titled as Valmiki and Varun Tej is turning villain with this film.
Santosh Srinivas scored a hit with Kandireega with Ram but he got shocks with NTR's Rabhasa and Ram's Hyper. But what is surprising is Raviteja who himself is reeling under string of flops like Touch Chesi Choodu,Nela Ticket and Amar Akbar Antony is joining hands with him.
Many feel that stars too believe in the saying that class is permanent and form is temporary and so showing interest in these talented directors who are currently reeling under string of flops. The question is will the directors explode at the box office with success bombs.
