Mudragada's Hunger Strike Success or a Failure?

Mudragada Padmanabham's indefinite hunger strike, today, ended on a happy and peaceful note. But then, what has Mudragada achieved with his hunger strike turned out to be the point to be discussed. Mudragada's supporters and a few Kapu activists claim Mudragada's agitation created a sensation and Kapus showed their fighting spirit to the government and to the public. Also, it was said, allocation of Rs.1000 crores each for every year for Kapu corporation came into reality only because of Mudragada's agitation.

However, Mudragada's major demand of reducing the duration of Kapu Commission's report from 9 months to 5 months was not fulfilled. Also, the government is suspected to delay the commission's report as much as it can. Moreover, the government is is gossiped to be provoking and encouraging the BC communities to resort agitations against Kapu reservations. Telgangana's TDP leader R Krishnaih is alleged to have been brought to AP to play caste politics.

Also, it was felt Mudragada has given up his fast unto death owing to his age factor. Furthermore, TDP's strategy of changing the mindset of Mudragada in favour of the government was worked out well and the negotiations made by the TDP's leaders turned out to be fruitful.
