Chaitu, Is It Hard to Recover?

Naga Chaitanya’s struggle to get an entry into top 5 or 7 heroes of Tollywood is still extended. He is attempting at new concepts and new genres without showing any inhibitions. However, it’s final result which matters the most. The two days back released con film ‘Dohchay’ directed by Sudheer Varma is reported to have opened for not so good collections. A film from successful director and a youthful hero will generally have positive buzz and the same has to be reflected at ticket counters.

However, ‘Dohchay’ hasn’t got any earth shattering or even not the best figures which his old movies raked up. Numbers are low and so are the reviews from critics spread in all corners of media. Meanwhile, the present holiday season can do the trick and hopes are alive for producers and buyers to see a development in audience turnout. 

Irrespective of the overall post release trade, ‘Dohchay’ already pushed producer BVSN Prasad into safe zone with enough of table profits. Now, the risk lies on the heads of distributors and exhibitors who believed in combinational craze of Chaitu-Sudheer Varma. Let us see, how far they can recover the investments at least to breakeven?
