3 MAY, 1913: The first Indian silent film( mooky) 'Raja Harischandra was released on this day. Since this was the first movie of India, the movie set the new records everywhere. Dadasaheb Phalke produced and directed this movie on Phalke Films.Dattatrey Kshirsagar, Dattatreya Telang, Ganpath G.Shinde played the lead roles of this film.

3 MAY, 2013: King Nagarjuna's romantic entertainer 'Greeku Veerudu' is hitting the screens on this day, which falls exactly after 100 years of the release of the first Indian cinema. Obviously, this movie enters the rare records of a Telugu cinema. Nayantara has done opposite to Nagarjuna in this film. Thaman has scored the music of this film. Directed by Dasarath, the movie was produced by Sivaprasad Reddy on Kamakshi Movies.
