Why Balayya Took So Long Time?

Unlike other star heroes, Balakrishna has a habit of making his Fans happy by delivering a minimum of two to three films in each calendar year. When he is nearing the century mark, obviously selection of scripts and directors become much more important. After the poor show of 'Adhinayakudu, UKUP and Srimannarayana,' surely Balayya needed a gap to re-evaluate the strategy. So, there was a big gap left in between before finally accepting the script of 'Ruler' from Boyapati Srinu.

With no positive desision expressed by Balayya, there was a time even Boyapati was thinking to go for Ramcharan or Mahesh Babu for the same story. However, hero's characterization being so heavy and requires a strong stature...the wait of Boyapati proved fruitful when Balayya called him back and 'Dookudu' producers were ready with investment. Finally, 'Ruler' will be launched on 15th of May and there is enough time for Boyapati to tighten the loose ends, if any.
