Many a times Chiranjeevi openly requested Shankar to give a chance for working in his direction. A smile was the only answer from sensational director even on the stage of ‘Robot’ audio launch. Now, Shankar himself admitted that producer AM Ratnam is urging him to direct a sequel to super hit ‘Bharateeyudu’ of Kamal Hasan that was released in 1996.
‘Let us see, what will happen only after the release of Nanban,’ Shankar said. Yes, this might mean that Shankar had his attention on a subject against corruption as a sequel to ‘Bharateeyudu.’ ‘Chiranjeevi might pull Shankar for directing the Telugu version separately, if by any chance Shankar gets on to the sequel in next two months. This would be a great combination,’ said a source close to Mega family.
Shankar’s statement on sequel coinciding with Chiranjeevi’s word on 150th film is raising many doubts. As Kamal don’t have any dates till completion of ‘Vishwaroopam,' there is every chance of Chiru landing into the role of 'Bharateeyudu 2.'
