Thousands of Congress workers and supporters awaited Kadapa MP YS  Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday morning at Seetampet near Palakonda in the district where the young Congress leader resumed the Odarpu Yatra.

 Ten hours behind schedule Jagan, the son of former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, was expected to unveil life-size statues of YSR at 7-Roads Junction and Suryamahal Junction at Srikakulam.

 Women and children were standing on rooftops in the town to greet the young Congress leader who had taken up the Odarpu Yatra against the wishes of a few senior leaders. Jagan was expected to reach Srikakulam town on Friday night.

 Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao was conspicuous by his absence in his hometown Srikakulam on Saturday. However, his sons and relatives were busy organising the events during Jagan's roadshows.

 The supporters of YSR have been demanding rechristening of the 7-Roads Junction, the biggest confluence of roads in the city as YSR Circle where jagan will unveil a life-size statue of of the departed leader.

 Earlier, Jagan unveiled a statue of Dr YSR at Goyadi in Seetampet mandal before he reached Seetampet to address a public gathering.

 Jagan re-commenced the Odarpu Yatra from the Mahaprasthana Vedika at Ichchapur on Thursday to sympathise with 17 bereaved families in the district that suffered losses in the wake of Dr YSR's sudden demise.
