Purandeswari flays TRS for politicizing 'Yatra'

Union Minister of State for Human Resource D Purandeswari on Tuesday criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders for politicising YS Jagan's Odarpu Yatra which the Kadapa MP is undertaking at his personal level.

Purandareswari who was here in conection with the stone-laying for a series of projects in the district, told newsmen “it is unfair for the TRS to block Odarpu yatra taken up to console the bereaved families, who suffered after the death of the then chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.”

The Kadapa MP has made his intentions clear that the yatra was taken up to console the families and needed no publicity, the Union minister said.

“The yatra is purely Jagan's personal no politics should be attached to it,”she said.Purandeswari said she would help release additional funds for the projects taken up in the district.

She laid the foundation stone for Kalyana mantapan at Dandu Bazaar and a community hall.MLA Dronam Raju Srinivas and Visakhapatnam Mayor Janardhana Rao were present with her.
