Director General of Police (DGP) R R Girish Kumar has said that the state government prepared an action plan with an estimated amount of Rs 30 crore to control the Naxalite activities in the state. 

He told reporters the state government has prepared a comprehensive action plan with an amount of Rs 30 crore to control the Maoist activities in the state. The report has been sent to the Centre and waiting for its reply, he stated.

Three special battalions will be formed to control Naxal activities in Karimnagar, Chittoor, Vishakhapatnam districts, he claimed. 

"We have also obtained a loan of 35 crore from HUDCO to repair the police quarters in the state. A separate scheme will be launched in the state for the welfare of the home guards," Kumar said.

Inspector General Vinay Kumar, DIG (Eluru range) Mahesh Bhagwat, East Godavari District Superintendent of Police G Srinivas and District Superintendent of Police (Rajahmundry) Janaki were present.
