Hyderabad, Aug 18 :
The Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, will visit New Delhi to participate in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting to be held on Wednesday.
The CWC meet will discuss the drought situation in many parts of the country and rising prices of essential commodities.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Smt Sonia Gandhi has called for the meeting to discuss ways to deal with the situation.
The meeting is taking place at a time when the party has expressed concern over price rise and asked the government to take concrete steps to make available essential commodities to poor and needy people.
The CWC will also discuss the preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Haryana.
