Court hands over Shoaib's passport

The  decks have been  cleared  for the smooth passage of Shoaib Malik, the Pakistan cricketer to return to his country. Following  the High Court’s orders on Monday, the Nampalli court  handed over Shoaib’s passport to his advocate.

Shoaib's lawyer is scheduled to take the High Court order to the lower court on Tuesday. Once the criminal court releases the passport, Shoaib and Sania are likely to fly out of India in the day.

Shoaib and Sania got married on April 12 and the marriage reception is scheduled in Lahore for April 27. Another reception is planned by Shoaib's family in Sialkot for April 25.

The Hyderabad Police seized Shoaib's passport on April 5 after Ayesha lodged a cheating case against Shoaib for denying their marriage that took place in 2006. She later withdrew her complaint after Shoaib officially divorced Ayesha. After the withdrawal of Ayesha's complaint, the Hyderabad Police quashed the FIR against Shoaib.
