He also directed the Principal Secretary to coordinate with the District Collectors in the relief and rescue operations. The unseasonal rains accompanied by hailstorms caused extensive damage to agriculture crops and orchards in Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor and Kurnool districts.

Four persons hailing from Prakasam and Guntur districts were killed in Kadapa and one woman died in Chittoor district. According to agriculture officials, standing crops in 1500 acres were washed away in the rains.
