The overwhelming public response to the ‘Yathra’, ostensibly to meet the kin of victims who died unable to bear the shock of YSR’s death, has started to heat up the political atmosphere in the Telangana region.

KCR has taken umbrage to Jaganmohan Reddy’s ‘yathra’ and the mass appeal the young leader has, and perhaps fearing the erosion of his base in Telangana heartland, accused Jagan of trying to turn the region in a ‘Goonda Rajyam’.

KCR lambasted the State government of allowing Jaganmohan Reddy to move freely in the region with a 1000 ‘Goondas’.He said that Jaganmohan Reddy should not bring the culture of ‘goondaism’ to Telangana region since the people here are peace loving people.

He also said that according to his information, the response to the ‘Odarpu Yathra’ was lukewarm at best. He accused Jaganmohan Reddy of misleading the State by meeting people in crowded places so that it would appear that a large crowd had gathered to meet the young politician. KCR also accused Jagan of using huge amounts of wealth to ‘buy’ supporters and raise positive slogans.Mr Rao said that people would soon see through Jaganmohan Reddy’s ‘monkey antics’.
