The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to former Andhra Pradesh Governor N.d Tiwari to explain his stand in a paternity case filed by 34-year-old Rohit Shekhar, who claims to be the biological son of the veteran politician.

 According to sources, the court directed Tiwari to submit his reply to the court within four weeks. If he fails to file his reply, the court will be forced to direct him to appear personally before it.

The court also directed him to file his response on the photographs filed by Rohit Shekhar which showed him together with Tiwari on several occasions.

High Court Justice J R Midha granted four weeks' time to Tiwari to file his response. The Justice observed that “the whole controversy is because of the fact that you are not filing the reply. Everything will be solved once you file your response in this issue."

Allowing an application filed by Tiwari seeking more time to fie his reply, the court warned that it was his last opportunity or else he will have to appear in court on May 20, the next date for hearing.

Earlier, Rohit requested the Court to direct the former Governor to go for a DNA test along with him to prove his case. However, Tiwari is strongly oposed to the suggestion.
