Hyderabad, Feb 01: Caught between the devil and the deep sea, the Congress leaders  of  Telangnan region have decided to wait till the announcement of the constitution of the committee by the Centre.Irked by the High Command’s directive to withdraw from the all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee, the Congress leaders said  ``when the  Centre is  responding in a swift  manner to solve the Telangana issue, why should we take a hasty step.’’Speaking  to the  media in the wake of  Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s statement on Monday, senior Congress leader and former home minister Jana Reddy said “We have decided to chalk out the future course of action after the announcement of the committee by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

We will review the situation and decide the future course of action after the announcement of the committee.”When specifically asked whether the Congress would continue in the all-party Joint Action Committee he observed, “Everything after the announcement of the committee.”``Any statement I make will only precipitate the matter on Telangana, added Jana.Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud said the status-quo would continue till the committee is announced by Chidambaram by the end of this week.The Congress leaders from Telangana asked their counterparts in other regions to maintain party discipline and avoid any provocative incidents.
