Hyderabad, Dec 19: There is no need for the youth to take recourse to path of violence in their stir for united Andhra agitation, stated Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayanan.Addressing media at his party office on Saturday, he appealed to students not to lose their tempers and realize that violence should not be a part of emotional agitation. He advised them to opt for peaceful ways of protests and dharnas in lieu of violent agitations. He condemned the students resorting to violence such as pelting stones, setting buses afire and smashing private vehicles.Due to lack of proper guidance and leadership, they are unable to take intellectual moves on division on state issue, he pointed out.

He asked the students to create awareness among the people and lead a movement by staying away from violence.“If a politician stages a dharna or goes on fasting, he gets publicity and treatment free of cost. But in case of students, they will never get publicity or treatment and they will lose their academic year,” he said.He advised students not to fall prey to politics of leaders and realise the importance of staying united. He said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will make a consensus decision on Telangana state after coming from abroad. He also asked media to maintain restraint on T-issue.
