Raghuveera Reddy said that a road map for next elections was discussed with AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, who arrived in the city on Thursday on a three-day visit. Thanking the Congress High Command for making him the chief of Seemandhra Committee, he said that restoring the confidence of people on the Congress party in the residuary State would be a challenging task. Stating that he would revive the party at the grass root levels, he said ensuring victory of party's candidates in municipal, local bodies, assembly and Lok Sabha would be the major task for him.

Raghuveera Reddy compared the situation in Seemandhra to the circumstances that existed during former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's regime after Emergency. However, he hoped that the situation would soon turn in favour of Congress party. He said that the Congress-led UPA Government has announced several packages for Seemandhra and the region could register a speedy growth by taking advantage of those packages. He condemned the leaders who are joining other parties during tough times.

When asked about dispute over sharing of space in party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan, he said Digvijay Singh would resolve those disputes and seating space would not be an issue as there are two buildings in the party headquarters. He also said that he would abide by the Congress High Command's decision on contesting Assembly or Lok Sabha elecdtions.
