Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday called on President of India Pranab Mukharjee at Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolloram and reportedly discussed the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

During the interaction which lasted for about an hour, the Chief Minister reportedly apprised the President about the latest situation in the State, especially after tabling of State Reorganisation Bill. Advocating united Andhra Pradesh, sources say, that the Chief Minister spoke about the problems that might crop up with regard to sharing of sources like revenues, river waters, irrigation, power and employment. The status of Hyderabad and Bhadrachalm was also discussed.

The Chief Minister reportedly complained that several issues were not mentioned in the draft Bill. He said all 158 MLAs from the Seemandhra region were against the Bill and it would be defeated in the State Legislative Assembly. He indirectly appealed to the President to suspend the process of Telangana formation.
