Talking to reporters here, Kavuri said that the union ministers did not soften their stand on State's bifurcation and would continue to oppose the decision. Further, he said a detailed representation would also be made to the AK Antony Committee on the implications of bifurcation. He said that the division would reduce the prominence of Andhra Pradesh. However, he said that he would abide the final decision of the Congress High Command.

The union minister claimed that the people from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions have sold their properties elsewhere to settle down in Hyderabad. He said that the city witnessed overall development due to their investments. However, now the same people are hurt after being told that Hyderabad does not belong to them anymore.
