No mid-term poll, says Yechuri

CPM Politburo member Sitaram Yechuri today said that there are no signs of a mid-term poll at the centre.

“With Samajwadi Party and BSP not ready for elections, the possibility seems to be bleak of a snap poll,” he said. In the next general elections the emergence of a third force is a possibility, he said.

When asked about tie-ups, he said that issue will be discussed only when the elections are announced. “Till then we will concentrate on building agitations against anti-people policies of the government,” he said.
