Congress MLAs from the Telangana region on Thursday claimed that the all-party meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi over the Telangana issue would provide a roadmap for the formation of separate State.

Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Medchal MLA K Lakshma Reddy and Serilingampally MLA Bhikshapati Yadav, said that Telangana State would be a certainty after the all-party meeting on December 28. They appealed to the opposition parties to give their clear and favourable stand on Telangana during the all-party meeting so as to facilitate the Centre to begin the process of formation of new State. They said that the opposition parties should respect the sentiments of Telangana people.

Stating that the Congress MLAs from Telangana region would agree for nothing less than a separate State, they said the recent statement of Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy opposing Telangana was his personal opinion. They said that the Congress MLAs from Telangana region does not endorse Jagga Reddy's opinion and they would continue to insist for a separate State.

The MLAs also thanked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for launching development works worth several thousand crores in Ranga Reddy district during his three-day Indiramma Baata programme. They said that the Chief Minister has also assured to bring Central funds or schemes for nine constituencies in the district.
