Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Monday alleged that Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was on a spree of making illogical promises to the people during his on-going "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra.

Quoting some of the promises, Venkataramam Reddy said that Naidu would not hesitate to even promise that he would make dead persons alive. Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, he said that Naidu was apparently trying hard to draw the attention of all sections of the society by making promises for their welfare. However, he said that people would not believe Naidu's promises any more as they realise the fact they were aimed at seeking their votes and sympathy to come to power.

Venkataramana Reddy also criticised the proposed "Maro Praja Prasthanam" padayatra of YSR Congress party leader Sharmila. He said Sharmila herself was launching the padayatra as she was doubtful of her brother and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy getting a bail in the disproportionate assets case.
