Senior Tdp leader Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy criticised the State Government for its failure to provide power supply to the industrial sector.

Talking to reporters after expressing solidarity with the managements and employees of industries, who launched a relay hunger strike at Indira Park here on Wednesday, Krishna Reddy said that the industrial sector was suffering huge losses due to the power cuts imposed upon it. He said that the government lacked foresight and failed to gauge the severity of the problem beforehand. He said that the AP Genco affairs were deliberately ignored to benefit the private power producers and this led to the collapse of entire power supply system.

Krishna Reddy alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was directly responsible for the problems being faced by the industrial sector. He said that the Chief Minister was sensitive towards the problems being faced by the people as he was chosen by the Congress High Command and not the public. He said Kiran Kumar Reddy was more focussed on politics than welfare.

The Tdp leader said that the industries never suffered when the Tdp was in power. However, he alleged that the Congress Government has completely ignored the welfare of industrial sector.
