The Telugu Desam Party on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy cancel his New Delhi's visit and convene an all-party meeting to discuss the on-going power crisis in the State.

Talking to media persons at his residence, Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that the Chief Minister's visit to the national capital would be fruitless and therefore, he should stay in Hyderabad to find an immediate solution to the problem. He demanded that the government supply seven hours power to farmers in Telangana region. He threatened that he would go on an indefinite strike if the government fails to solve the crisis. However, he informed that the Chief Minister telephoned him in the morning to assure that he would meet him after his return from New Delhi.

Following the TDP's call for `Chalo Camp Office’ on Thursday, Errabelli was kept under the house arrest by the City Police.
