He said that development of state was affected due to agitations on various issues—fee reimbursement, junior doctors’ protest and dharna by textile traders against VAT.

As the government had totally failed in addressing these issues, the state had been witnessing agitations frequently and that was affecting development, he stated.

Also, the government failed to honour promises made to employees from the Telangana region during Sakala Janula Samme, he said. He also came down heavily on the state government for not responding to the farmers’ woes who were affected by severe drought due to inadequate rains and failing to bring in Central team to estimate the crop losses.

He asked as to why the state government did not taking any decision on tenders for Polavaram, which were mired in controversy.

Criticizing the government for politicizing the appointments of State Information Commissioners, he sought explanation from the government to the people on the issue.

He also questioned Speaker Nadendla Manohar on why he was dragging his feet on initiating disqualification actions on 16 rebel MLAs, who switched loyalties during No Confidence Motion against the government.

Condemning the desecration of Dr Ambedkar statues in Amalapuram, he blamed the failure of intelligence system for this and demanded a through probe into it.
