The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has alleged that a few Seemandhra leaders were trying to incite violence in Hyderabad.

Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Trs politburo member B Vinod asked the State Police and the intelligence agencies to be on alert and track the movements of Seemandhra leaders who are reportedly planning to incite violence in the State capital. He said that the Seemandhra leaders have suffered a major setback due to the success of Sakala Janula Samme, the general strike demanding separate Telangana. Therefore, they were planning to use violent means to divert people's attention.

Vinod also alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were doing propaganda that their properties were being attacked by the Telangana activists. Denying the allegations, he said that small instances of violence were being blown out of proportion. He maintained that the Telangana agitation has been going peacefully and it will remain peaceful.

The former MP accused the Centre of prolonging a decision the Telangana statehood in the name of consultations. He said the entire consultation process was over long back and all parties and individuals have aired their opinions before the Srikrishna Committee. Therefore, no further consultation was required and the Centre must honour its announcement made on December 09, 2009, saying that it would initiate the process of formation of Telangana.
