Congress Mp from Peddapalli G Vivek on Monday stated that the Telangana Congress leaders were not eyeing for any posts except for the formation of Telangana state.

Stating that Seemandra delegation gave a false report to Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad opposing division of the state, Vivek said that he had submitted a correct report supporting the need for formation of Telangana state with facts and figures on Sunday.  He pointed out that out of 94 new establishments; only 20 were set up by Seemandhra entrepreneurs in the State capital of Hyderabad.

Vivek said that Hyderabad became the fifth biggest city in the country even before the formation of united Andhra Pradesh and it has retained the position since then.  “This indicates there is no stuff in the Seemandhra leaders’ argument that they have developed Hyderabad,”he stated.

Except high-tech city, the remaining part of Hyderabad is developed since its formation, he stated. He said the Congress would bite the dust in the region if it waters down the agitation for statehood.

Meanwhile Telangana MP Ponnam prabhakar took serious note on YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy’s statement that Congress leaders were eating grass. “If we are eating grass, then Jagan has looted the state’s exchequer by misusing his official position,” he alleged.
