Suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Saturday indirectly accused the Speaker Nadendla Manohar of trying to suppress the voice of Telangana.

Talking to reporters, Nagam criticised the Speaker's decision to remove the Assembly Media Point from where the elected representatives of different political parties used to speak to the media. He said the removal of media point would create problems for the politicians like him who due to suspension could not go to TDP office or after resignation is accepted could not come to the Assembly Media Point to speak to the media.

The ex-TDP leader said the Speaker must have made some alternative before deciding to scrap the Media Point. He said former MLAs would find it difficult to approach the media to convey their opinion on matters of public importance. The major reason for removing the Assembly Media Point was to suppress the Telangana voice, he said.

Nagam also criticised the Congress Mps Lagadapati Rajagopal and K Samabasiva Rao for serving privilege notice to BJP leader Sushma Swaraj for her remarks on Telangana that she made in the Lok Sabha recently. He said anti-Telangana leaders were not leaving any efforts to suppress the Telangana voice at all levels.

Regarding the on-going CBI probe against Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in disproportionate assets case, Nagam said YSR's political advisor KVP Ramchandra Rao played a major role in all the corrupt practices of YSR and Jagan Mohan Reddy. Therefore, the CBI must bring him under the ambit of it ongoing investigation, he demanded.

The suspended leader said that the Speaker is likely to take a decision on his resignation by Monday as all processes involved have been completed.
