Telugu Desam Party senior leaders Tummala Nageswara Rao and Revanth Reddy on Thursday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party was covertly trying to shield Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from the disproportionate assets case that the Central Bureau of Investigation has registered on the directions of AP High Court.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan, the Tdp leaders asked why senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley found fault with the CBI for mentioning the name of former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy in the FIR against Jagan in Parliament. He said the BJP has entered into some kind of secret deal with the YSR Congress Party president to the latter from the CBI case.

The Tdp leaders also questioned Ram Jethmalani, senior counsel and BJP leader, representing Jaganmohan Reddy’s case in the Supreme Court seeking stay on CBI probe. These two instances clearly show that the BJP leaders were in hand in glove with Jagan Mohan Reddy, they said.

Tummala said although the BJP has been expressing solidarity with Anna Hazare’e fight against corruption at the national level, but it was not showing same thrust in case of Jagan, which is mainly about high-level corruption. He advised the BJP leaders to change their party name as Bharatiya Jagan Party for having conspired with Jagan.
