Former Congress minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy on Wednesday stated that he will respect the verdict of Pulivendula Assembly constituency, where he lost to Y S Vijaya Lakshmi.

 Talking to media persons in New Delhi, who came to give explanation to his failure in the recent by-elections to high command, Vivekananda Reddy stated that Y S R Congress party candidates Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijaya Lakshmi won in Kadapa parliamentary and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies due to YSR sympathy wave prevailed in the Kadapa district.

He said the people voted to Jagan and Vijaya Lakshmi as they appealed that they suffered injustice during the Congress regime. 

Viveka said that he would respect the verdict of people and would not regret the decision of contesting on her sister-in-law Vijaya Lakshmi.

Viveka said that he came to New Delhi to explain the reasons for his failure in the by-elections.

Responding to a question, he said “I don’t want any sympathy of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for himself losing in the elections and my top priority is addressing people’s problems and how to protect their interest not political career.”

“I will follow the directions of party and work as loyal worker to strengthen party in my constituency,” he stated.
