Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday stated that he would launch an indefinite hunger fast for employees of state government if the government fails to scrap the GO 177 which was issued recently.

Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, the TRS chief justified the employees’ participation in agitations and strikes in order to fulfill their genuine demands.

Reiterating his full support to the employees, KCR stated that he would intensify his agitation against GO 177, which prevents employees from participating in agitations and strikes.

“The draconian law, which prevents employees freedom of expression should be revoked immediately,” KCR stated.

Reiterating that the Telangana agitation will be revived, KCR stated the agitation was deliberately put on hold to protect the interests of lakhs of the students.

He stated that Defence Ministry has not given permission for celebrating the party formation day at Parade Grounds on April 27 on the basis of security reasons.

However, the TRS chief stated that the party would celebrate the day as Elected People’s Conference in Mahabubnagar on April 27.

Condemning the media reports that he had insulted Andhra Brahmins by stating that they are not committed to their position, KCR stated that the reports are baseless and far from truth.
