Telugu Desam Party leader MV Mysoora Reddy on Monday filed his candidature for Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency as the last day for filing of nominations drew to a close on Monday.

Mr Mysoora Reddy made his way to the Kadapa district Collector’s office in a procession from Telugu Desam Party office. He filed his papers with the Collector, who is also the Returning Officer.

After filing his nomination papers, the senior politician said that that he would win the by-elections if the voters are not influenced by money power and or intimidated.

Mr Mysoora Reddy also expressed confidence that the people of constituency will vote against rampant corruption of YSR Congress Party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Earlier, the TDP candidate performed special puja at a local temple in his native village of Chirajpalli in Kadapa seeking blessings of presiding deity before making his way to the district Collector’s office.    

Meanwhile Ravindranath Reddy (popularly known as B Tech Ravi)  of the Telugu Desam Party filed his nomination papers for the Pulivendula Assembly constituency on Monday at the District Returning Office.

As the last day of filing of nominations drew to a close here, 57 candidates are in the fray for Kadapa Parliamentary seat and 36 for Pulivendula Assembly segment.

There are at least ten candidates who are named ‘Jaganmohan Reddy’ contesting for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and six ‘Vijaya Lakshmis’ in fray for Pulivendula Assembly segment.
