Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy supporters have already alleged that the ruling Congress party is resorting to ‘cheap gimmicks’ of confusing voters and thus ensure that the YSR family members get as least votes as possible. They stated the Congress party resorted to this type of gimmicks even in the recent Legislative Council elections also. However, the YSR Congress party candidates won in the elections.

The last date for filing of nominations is April 18. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on April 19 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 21.
