Describing the Jagan group MLAs as ‘political prostitutes’, Mr Veera Shiva Reddy demanded strict disciplinary action against them. He said that the rebel MLAs should resign from their elected posts and seek a fresh mandate from the people, ‘if they have any guts.’

The Kamalapuram MLA said that he would lodge a complaint against the Jagan group MLAs with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas demanding their immediate suspension from the party for their anti-party activities.

“If the High Command does not suspend them from the party, the Congress MLAs will not participate in the election campaign in the Pulivendula and Kadapa constituencies,” Mr Veera Shiva Reddy stated.

Condemning the defense adopted by the Jagan group MLAs that the ruling party had not sought their support and cooperation during the recent Legislative Council elections, he said that his was baseless. “How can the Congress party seek their support when they are involved in anti-party activities,” he questioned.
