Talking to media persons, Mr Rosaiah stated that the reason for his visit to the National Capital was not to lodge a complaint against Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy or his media house Sakshi over the airing of a controversial programme. He said that he had come for some official work.

The Chief Minister added that there is no need visit New Delhi just to lodge a complaint.

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that he has no interest in expanding his Ministry Cabinet at the moment.

Earlier, he had met Union Defence Minister AK Antony and then a delegation of MPs from Telangana headed by Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar.

The Chief Minister also met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and urged him to find a solution to Free Zone issue as soon as possible. According to sources, Mr Chidambaram reassured Mr Rosaiah that he would look into the matter.

Mr Rosaiah’s meeting with the Congress leaders comes in the wake of a Sakshi television, owned by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy launching a full-fledged attack on the Congress leadership, including Ms Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, claiming that their popularity was on the wane.

When asked about any disciplinary action that will be taken against the Kadapa MP, Mr Rosaiah stated that the High Command will handle Mr Jaganmohan Reddy. He also added that he has not received any instructions yet about any possible action on the issue.
