All India Congress Committee secretary and senior Telangana Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar on Friday condemned the police lathicharge on the agitating students of Osmania University who were protesting ‘peacefully’ to press the government to cancel the Sub-Inspectors recruitment test across the state.

Talking to media persons at Media Point in CLP Office, the MLC demanded that the government make concerted efforts to delete the controversial Clause 14 (F) from the Presidential Orders to prevent injustice to Telangana students in the recruitments. He demanded that the government cancel the test until President clears the amendment.

Condemning the remarks of the Chief Minister on the journalists that they can contest elections to become MP and resolve the issue quicker, Mr Sudhakar stated the Chief Minister should act in a responsible way and solve the problem. He also asked the Chief Minister to explain what purpose the Hussain Sagar is for the students of Telangana. 

Telangana senior leader and MLC K R Amos condemned the stubborn attitude of Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy to go ahead with conducting the sub-inspectors recruitment test. Though all-party leaders advised the government, the Chief Minister and Home Minister did not follow and responsible for law and order crisis and police lathicharge on the students, he stated. He blamed the state government for the crisis and demanded cancellation of test until President clears the bill with deletion of Clause 14 (F).
