The state government has decided to organise Pranahitha Pushkaralu in Adilabad district from December 6 to 17.

The event will be held on the banks of river Pranahitha three mandals of Adilabad district in Arjunagutta village, Kothapalle mandal, Vemanapalle village, Vemanapalle mandal and in Thummalahotta village, Kowthapalle mandal.

Minister for Endowments Gade Venkata Reddy revealed to media persons at the Secretariat that the decision to hold the Pranahitha Pushkaralu on such a large scale was taken following representations received from the district Legislators. He said that the ZP Chairman had also met him in this regard.

Mr Venkata Reddy said that the government has conceded to their demands to conduct the event on a large-scale. The Minister revealed that he had heard the appeals from them and discussed the importance of the event.

The Minister stated that, for the first time since 1999, the state will organise such a function at three places. A GO was also issued in favour of conducting the function, Mr Venkara Reddy revealed.

Minister for Higher Education Duddilla Sridhar Rao, (Karimnagar district) and Minister for Major Irrigation Ponnala Lakshmaiah, (Warangal district ) were also present.

The department is making arrangements for the convenience of the pilgrims in all the three mandals, the officer in-charge said.
