The Yuva Rajyam city cell on Thursday staged a `Chalo Secretariat’ rally demanding that the state government to fill up vacant post in various departments.

“Though the Congress leaders are utilizing the services of youth, they failed to provide proper employment for them,” Mr Diwakar alleged.

The protestors tried to enter the Secretariat and submit a memorandum over the issue to Chief Minister K Rosaiah. The police however refused to allow them inside, saying that they had not taken an appointment earlier.

This led to an argument between the protestors and they then tried to barge inside the premises. The police however foiled their attempt and took them into custody. They were shifted to a nearby police station.
