Christopher Nolan is the most celebrated director not only in Hollywood but also in India. He is one of the ver few Hollywood directors in this generation, whose name itself draws crowd in India. Nolan is a British and American filmmaker. Known for his complex storytelling, scoring blockbusters. His work receives numerous accolades, he has been nominated for five Academy Awards, five BAFTA Awards and six Golden Globe Awards.

After making many short films, Nolan made his debut as a director with Following in 1998. His second film, Memento made him a Star director and earned him worldwide recognition. His complex, non-linear screenplay stunned the entire film fraternity. Memento was remade in Tamil as Ghajini with Suriya and with Aamir Khan in Hindi directed by AR Murugadoss. Ghajini is the first Hindi film to cross RS 100 Crore mark in Indian film industry.

After Memento, he made Insomnia, a serial killer - Detective story which won him critical acclaim. His The Dark Knight Trilogy brought him stardom and he gave a new spin to superhero films. The trilogy won critical and commercial success too. Then made The Prestige and Inception. Both films have terrific screenplays and the plot of Inception is too complex making him the most intelligent director who comes up with amazing ideas for his films. 

His Interstellar is considered as one of the most accurate science fiction film which is very close to actual science. Such kind of detailing and research he does for his films. His later films Dunkirk and Tenet also made with non linear screenplays. His latest film Oppenheimer is playing in theatres running successfully all over the world and it is close to breaching RS 100 Crores in India alone.
