Incessant rains and floods left the state of Andhra Pradesh running for cover. Especially the temple town of Tirupati got inundated in floods. The south coastal and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh got badly affected and people got displaced from their houses. There were accusations that Tollywood distanced itself from Andhra Pradesh following its tussle with Andhra Pradesh government and CM Jagan Mohan Reddy over the ticketing prices and other theatres issues and so is not coming for the help of the people.

Under these circumstances, top production house, Geetha Arts, owned by Allu Aravind donated generously to the AP CM relief fund. Sharing the details, Geetha Arts revealed "We have made a humble donation of Rs 10 lakh to @AndhraPradeshCM relief fund to help with the relief measures in flood-affected areas of #TirupatiRains."
