Romantic Varun Tej, What’s Up?

Gabbar Singh will remain to be one of the most memorable films in Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s career. Mega Star Chiranjeevi once jokingly said, had I got the opportunity to star in the film, it would have reached next level. Chiru even expressed his wish to work with director Harish Shankar then.

Actually, Gabbar Singh is official remake of Hindi hit Dabangg. But, Harish and his team made numerous changes to the script and made it look like a straight Telugu films. His mark was noticeable in romance and comedy.

Now, Harish Shankar is directing another mega hero Varun Tej. The film Valmiki is official remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda. Certainly, Harish Shankar has made enough changes to the script to give additional weight to Varun Tej’s character.

Actually, in Tamil version, the antagonist played by Bobby Simha will not have any flashback or romantic track. But, for Telugu version Valmiki, Harish Shankar adds romantic track. The new stills of Valmiki show Varun Tej in his younger days. Apparently, he will have a romantic interest in Pooja Hegde who is seen in the village belle role.

Although Varun Tej’s is a negative role, the story will be narrated in his perspective. However, it is unclear whether the climax bang will be asusual or Harish came up with a different twist.

Atharvaa Murali plays protagonist in the film which is slated for release on September 20th.
