Ayyare! No Nityananda re!!

The film Ayyare hit the screens today. The film raised curiosity.  It was believed that the film was based on the infamous sex scandal swamy Nityananda. Some people flocked to the theater hoping to catch some sleazy stuff between the swamy and women devotees (like Ranjita).

However they were all disappointed as the film has no connection with swamy Nityananda and his activities. It is a film that looks at how people are fooled into believing in all that the god man says and does. They fall for the god man believing that he has supernatural powers and lose everything in the process.

A poor story and screenplay and weak direction mar the film completely. Despite good performance by Rajendra Prasad the film does not impress at all. The only saving grace of the film is the message – do not believe in god men! They are not gods but ordinary human beings like the rest of us.
