Sushmita Konidela Gets Key Role at Kanaka Durga Temple

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s daughter and producer Sushmita Konidela has been appointed as a special invitee to the trust board of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam on Vijayawada’s Indrakeeladri. Endowments Department Secretary Kannababu reportedly issued the appointment orders, marking a significant new responsibility for Sushmita.

The prestigious Kanaka Durga Temple attracts devotees throughout the year, with the annual Dasara celebrations drawing particularly large crowds. The temple is currently focusing on improving facilities and managing the upcoming festivities, with Rs.25 crore sanctioned for arrangements. Around 25 lakh devotees are expected during this year’s celebrations.

As a special invitee, Sushmita is expected to offer suggestions and support initiatives concerning temple development, devotee facilities and administrative activities. Her appointment comes as the temple prepares for major festival arrangements and infrastructure improvements. The official temple website highlights services including darshan, sevas, accommodation, annadanam and online bookings for devotees.

Sushmita has established herself in the entertainment industry as a fashion designer and producer, beyond being known as Chiranjeevi’s daughter. Her new temple board responsibility has attracted attention across film and public circles. Reports also note that her mother, Surekha Konidela, recently received a role on the Yadadri temple board in Telangana.
