Delay killing hype on projects

Projects delay killing the hype. Now a days, most of the films are not releasing on the announced date. Filmmakers who keep their promise on the release dates are becoming a rarity. Of late even small and medium range films are not releasing on the declared date.

After completing the film, finalising the right release date is becoming a huge problem. The makers are keeping on postponing the releases on the pretext of one or the other reason. Many films release dates are getting changed on more than three occasions. With the delay in filmmaking, change of release dates, the losses are not getting accounted in the right manner.

Till sometime back Nani's The Paradise got a huge hype. But with the film getting postponed from March and August and now doubts on the new release date, people stopped talking about it. Same is the case with Yash's Toxic. With Toxic not getting released on time, the buzz on the film diminished completely. Akhil's Lenin after the promotions got good buzz but repeated postponements killed the hype.

With the makers taking people for granted and not sticking on to the release dates is testing the patience. This is also increasing the negativity on the films.
