Tamil Nadu Approves Five Shows Daily for New Tamil Movies

The Tamil Nadu government has given a big gift to the film industry. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has allowed all cinema halls in the state to run five shows every day for new Tamil films. This rule will apply for one full week from the release date of each new movie. Theatres can also run five shows without any extra permission on Saturdays, Sundays, festival days, and public holidays.
Earlier, theatres in Tamil Nadu could only run four shows daily. If they wanted to add a fifth show, they had to get special approval from government officers. This process took time and created delays for big movie releases. Now with the new order, theatre owners do not need to apply for permission. The fifth show is allowed directly, which saves time and helps plan releases better.
This decision is good news for producers, actors, and distributors. Big films often get huge crowds in the first week, especially during holidays and festival seasons. With five shows daily, more people can watch the film in theatres. This will help movies earn more money at the box office. Small films also get better chances to reach audiences when extra shows are available.
The Tamil film industry has welcomed this move from CM Vijay. Many people in the industry say this will help Tamil cinema grow faster. More shows mean more tickets and better business for theatres too. This step will support weekend releases and big festival films across Tamil Nadu. It gives filmmakers more confidence to release movies with wide promotion and strong opening plans.
