Ram Charan’s Peddi Cleared With UA 16+ And 3 Hour Runtime

Ram Charan’s big film Peddi has finished its censor work. The Central Board of Film Certification in Hyderabad gave the film a UA 16+ certificate. This means kids below 16 should watch the movie with parents. The censor team asked for some changes before giving the certificate. Peddi is a rural sports drama produced by Vriddhi Cinemas. Kilaru Venkata Satish is backing the project. Fans are waiting for this film after RRR and Game Changer.
The film has a long runtime of 189 minutes. That is 3 hours and 9 minutes. The censor board did not cut any scenes for length. They only asked for changes in words and visuals. Bad words in dialogues were muted and subtitles were removed. The word Saruku Saamaan in the Chikiri song was changed. Some community names and the word Rajasthan were fully removed from the film. A scene showing a middle finger was covered with CGI but the scene stays in the movie.
The makers are very confident about the story. That is why they kept the full 3 hour runtime. Director Buchi Babu is known for strong emotions and drama. His last film Uppena was a big hit. Ram Charan plays a powerful role set in a village with a sports backdrop. The film also has a special item song that started shooting recently. Music and action scenes are said to be major highlights.
The main question now is whether fans will enjoy such a long film in theatres. But Ram Charan has a huge fan base and Peddi has strong buzz. Trade people feel the story and emotions will keep people hooked.
